Inventory within Scrip Manager is added and removed based on the order set on the View Inventory page. Each inventory transaction added is stored separately and contains the amount and discount percentage splits. By default the inventory has a first in first out logic. You may change the order priority in which inventory is used to fill orders. This may be desired if an inventory discount percentage changes and the priority for which the old or new discount needs to be adjusted.
You may view and change the order of the inventory by following these steps.
- Navigate to Inventory->Current Inventory.
- The Current Inventory page will be displayed. Filter the list using the Vendor and Status drop down lists.
- You can also search by entering the first few characters of the gift card name in the Search... text entry box. The list will filter as you type.
- Locate the gift card you wish to view or update, then click the View button in its row.
- The View Inventory page will be displayed. Each inventory transaction is shown as a row with its Amount, Total %, User %, and Organization %. Orders will be filled using the inventory in the priority listed (top to bottom).
Change the priority
To change the order in which inventory is used to fill orders, grab a row by its drag handle (the ≡ icon on the left) and drop it into the desired position. The new order is saved automatically.
Change the discount split
To change the discount percentage split for a row:
- Click on the User % field for that row.
- Enter the new percentage. A maximum of 2 decimal places is allowed.
- The Organization % is calculated automatically based on the User % value.
When you are finished, click the Return button to go back to the Current Inventory page.
